  West Virginia's Premier Inspection Company

           NEHA Radon Inspection

Radon is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas generated by the decay of uranium and radium. Our senses cannot detect the presence of radon. Since radioactive gas is produced in most soil and rock, all houses have some radon. Approximately 6 million U.S. homes have living-area radon concentrations above EPA guidelines.
Radon has been identified as a serious public health problem by a number of U.S. health agencies such as the Centers for Diseases Control, The American Lung Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Public Health Association.
In 1988, the U.S. Surgeon General issued this health advisory: "Indooor radon gas is a natural health problem. Radon causes thousands of deaths each year. Millions of homes have elevated levels. Most homes should be tested for radon. When elevated levels are confirmed, the problems should be corrected."
Using the latest testing techniques, InspectRite tests properties for elevated levels of radon. Independent, certified laboratories examine our samples and provide a full report of their findings. A full interpreted report is submitted to the client by InspectRite.
A radon inspection can be conducted during a home inspection at a reduced rate or as a stand-alone inspection.
InspectRite radon inspectors are NEHA certified as required by state law. Check NEHA website for WV inspectors certified to monitor radon.
